League tables that only count what was played.
Football league standings software calculates the table from match results: played, won, drawn, lost, goal difference and points. In LeagueUnion the table is built only from fixtures marked completed, so a provisional or disputed score never moves a team up or down.

The table is where small mistakes become arguments.
When standings are updated by hand, one mistyped score or a result entered twice changes the order of the league, and it is usually a club that notices first.
Divisions multiply the work. Promotion and relegation places depend on every table being exactly right on the final day, not approximately right.

Questions organisers ask
How are football league standings calculated?
Each completed result awards points to both teams, and the table is ordered by points and then by the league’s tie-breakers, such as goal difference. LeagueUnion recalculates this whenever a result is completed or corrected.
What if a result is wrong?
The organiser corrects the final result on the fixture. The table recalculates from the corrected score, so nobody edits the standings separately.
Do pending results affect the table?
No. A fixture awaiting its result stays visible, but only completed results count towards the standings.
Can a league have more than one division?
Yes. A competition can have up to six divisions, each with its own table and its own promotion and relegation places.
